Book on Deccan Chargers' feat

HYDERABAD: Celebrating its stupendous performance in IPL season 2, with the launch of a book on the rare and legendary achievement, members of Deccan Chargers squad together with McDowell’s launched a special edition Platinum book on their rare and legendary achievements ahead of the season.
 
Raising the toast for the success of the upcoming IPL season on behalf of McDowell’s, Ashok Capoor, Deputy President, United Spirits Limited, said: “McDowell’s No. 1 is honoured to host this official send-off to a winning team. The launch of the special Platinum edition is our tribute to the story of spirit, grit, determination of legendary personalities whose actions get them a place in the annals of history.”
 
The first Platinum edition book was auctioned by Adam Gilchrist and the entire DC team autographed this copy.
 
The book will be available on a first-come-first served basis for Rs 10,000. Fifty per cent of the proceeds will go to the team for development purposes and the rest would be donated for charity to the Sports Coaching Foundation India, a city-based NGO engaged in grooming talent in sports, especially the underprivileged in society.
